Folio 291. Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. He reports that at a meeting on 11 March 1844, the following medical officers were re-elected:
For Bromsgrove and the union workhouse: Thomas Swindell Fletcher at a salary of £50 for the district and £30 for the workhouse.
For Redditch: Christopher Royston at a salary of £33.
For Alvechurch: John Smith Gaunt at a salary of £40.
For Bellbroughton [Belbroughton]: Jonathan Lord Hobbs at a salary of £45.
