Copy of letter from Burchett to Stanhope enclosing copy of the Memorial of the Marquis de Rouoroy (referred to Count Ponchartrain, Secretary of State for the Marine). Relating to Admiral Byng's letter regarding an account of his proceedings on the French coast. Concerns the searching of suspected [Jacobite] vessels and the apprehension of rebels who carry arms and anmmunition onboard. Particularly the 'Ferret' sloop, one Forrester an Irishman, an Aberdeen Master (and 'Scotch' ship) and a French merchantman the 'Ville de St Malo'.
