In January 1973 the Finance Group became known as the Overseas Finance Group incorporating the functions of Finance (Overseas and Co-ordination) Division and Finance (Overseas Development) Division. Their work was re-organised and re-grouped into the divisions listed below and gradually papers ceased to be filed in the 2F series:
