Miscellaneous papers of the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Office. The papers included are memoranda on a wide variety of fiscal subjects, including taxation, budgets, currency, War and National Savings, war loans, reparations and inter-allied debts. There are also contains records of deputation's and conferences, diplomatic agreements, speeches of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, papers of Sir Hardman Lever, carbon copies of correspondence and material concerning special area schemes, the Consumer Council and the Unemployed Grants Committee.
