Description

Balanced accounts of public income and expenditure successively of England, of Great Britain from 1707 and of the United Kingdom from 1836. They were made up principally from the Exchequer's periodical returns to the Treasury. Until the Consolidated Fund was established in 1787 each of the numerous Exchequer accounts is shown separately.
