Description

Treasury books of out-letters concerning taxes, stamps and other matters. Before 1849 these contain letters on the collection of taxes generally. Between 1820 and 1849 they include letters to or about the Post Office, Mint, Stationery Office, Board of Stamps, Board of Stamps and Taxes, the Hanaper, the King's Printer and the Alienation Office, and concerning Hackney carriages. From 1849 they contain letters to the Board of Inland Revenue.
