Treasury
The assembly of volumes of handwritten out-letters goes back to the 17th century. From the 1870s when typewriters were used in the Treasury typed copies of letters would be found on the Treasury registered files, and a decision was made in 1958 to destroy copies of Out-Letters from 1920.
