The Ministry of Supply Joint Industrial Council was established in July 1941 as a forum where schemes to improve productivity, conditions of employment and other matters relating to the Ministry's industrial establishments could be discussed by management and trade union representatives. It ceased to meet when the Ministry of Supply was abolished in November 1959.
