Captured ship: Welte Vreeden or Buon Contento (master Lourends Pieters).
History: a Dutch merchant ship (brigantine, 47 lasts), bound from Genoa to Stettin, laden with wine, oil, rice, lemons, anchovies, saffron and sausages; taken on 2 September 1780 by the privateers Hawke (John Nicholls commanding), and Hind (James Caddy commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
Court papers: 1-124; Ship's papers: 125-193.
