Captured ship: Wacksam Keit [Waaksaamheijd] (master Johann Ohlsen).
History: a Bremen merchant ship (galliot, 70 lasts or 160 tons, 3 swivels, 7 men), bound from Hamburg to Bordeaux, laden with deal boards, pipes, staves, tin plate, copper in casks, copper sheets, brass wire, worsted yarn, crucibles, lead in pieces or blocks, double laths; taken on 12 June 1780 in latitude 49°12'N by the privateers Friendship (Francis Pearce commanding, and Phoenix (Henry Carter commanding), and brought into Mount's Bay.
