History: an American merchant ship (brigantine, 80 tons, 10 men), bound from Newburyport, Massachusetts to any neutral West Indies port, laden with lumber, bricks; taken on 18 April 1780 in latitude 34°N, longitude 60°W by HMS Jersey (David Laird commanding), and brought into New York.
