Captured ship: Three Sisters formerly Dolphin (master John Prole).
History: a Danish merchant ship (brig, 100 tons, 10 men), bound from St Thomas to Amsterdam, laden with sugar, tobacco, rice, cotton, hides, indigo, beeswax, fustic; taken on 17 March 1777 about 8 leagues NNW of Cap La Hogue [de la Hague], Normandy and 5 leagues from Guernsey by HMS Hector (Sir John Hamilton commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
