Captured ship: Three Sisters (master John Hazard).
History: an American merchant ship (brig, 150 to 200 tons, 2 guns, 9 men), bound from Charleston, South Carolina to Nantes, laden with rice; taken on 13 June 1777 in latitude 44°15'N, longitude 9°W by the privateer Elizabeth (Benjamin Hughes commanding), and brought first into Plymouth and then into London.
Court papers: 1-35; 40 to 41; Ship's papers: 36-39; 42 to 52.
