Captured ship: Thorn (master Philip Aubin).
History: a American merchant ship (packet boat, 110 tons, 4 guns, 9-10 men), bound from Guadeloupe to Newbury, Massachusetts, laden with molasses, cotton and rum; taken on 20 July 1780 in latitude 35°N, longitude 65°W by the the packet boat Grantham (James Bull commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
Court papers: 1-48; Ship's papers: 49-51.
