Captured ship: Royal George (commander Mathurin Le Mercier).
History: a French privateer (15 tons, 8 swivel guns, 28 men), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 23 January 1783 about 14 leagues from the Lizard, by the privateers Hawke (Ambrose Nicholls commanding), and Lurcher (Joseph Nicholls commanding), and brought into Falmouth .
Court papers: 1-28; Ship's papers: 29-34. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
