Captured ship: Prosperite of Lubeck (master Levien Gotthard Mathiesson).
History: a Lubeck merchant ship (galliot, 140 tons, 8 men), bound from Nantes to London, laden with brandy, linen, coffee, cotton wool; taken on 25 August 1778 about 2 Dutch miles from the Isle of Wight by the privateer Tyger of Poole (John Broom commanding), and brought into Poole.
Court papers: 1-14; Ship's papers: 15-25. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
