High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Princesse D'Orange (master Elie Lacoste).
History: a French merchant ship (110 tons, 13 men), bound from Bordeaux to Cap François, Saint Domingue, laden with salt, wine, oil, brandy, sulphur; taken on 20 July 1778 about 37 leagues WSW of Bordeaux by the privateer Swift (Hillary Gosselin commanding), and brought into Guernsey .
Court papers: 1-3; Ship's papers: 4-14. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
