Captured ship: Princes Carolina (commander Jan Satinck).
History: a Dutch ship of war (54 guns, 298 men), bound from Hellevoetsluis to Lisbon on a cruise; taken on 30 December 1780 at anchor about 2 Dutch miles south of the South Foreland, Kent by HMS Bellona (Richard Onslow commanding), and brought into the Downs.
Court papers: 1-4; Ship's papers: 5-6. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
