Captured ship: Polly Lorimer (master John Ford).
History: an American merchant ship (50 tons, 10 men), bound from Rappahannock River, Virginia to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco; taken on 17 January 1781 off Cape Henry, Virginia by HMS Amphitrite (Robert Biggs commanding), and several others and brought into New York.
Court papers: 1-3. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
