History: a American merchant ship with a commission (brigantine, 100 tons, 8 guns, 12 men), bound from New Castle County, Delaware to Port Au Prince, Saint Domingue, laden with flour, lumber; taken on 20 December 1780 off the Capes of Delaware in latitude 38°N, longitude 74°W by HMS Royal Oak (William Swiney commanding), and brought into New York.
