Captured ship: Musk Melon Packet (master Robert Norris).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (schooner, 40 tons, 2 men, 2 passengers) bound from Broadkill, Delaware to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, laden with indian corn, lumber, oats; taken on 18 March 1780 in Delaware Bay in latitude 39°0'N, longitude 74°50'W by the loyalist privateer Lewis Town's Revenge (William Milby commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: within the United States.
