High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Mouche (commander Louis Bourbon).
History: a French merchant ship with commission (120 tons, 6 guns, 6 swivels, 26 men), bound from the Isle Bourbon [Reunion] to the first port in France via Cape of Good Hope, laden with 20 bags of coffee; taken on 6 March 1781 about 100 leagues from Lorient in the latitude of Belle Isle by the privateer Phoenix (Andrew Pidgley commanding), and brought first into Kinsale, Ireland and then into Dartmouth.
Court papers: 1-3. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
