Capture history: an American merchant ship (80 tons) bound from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, laden with flour, bread; taken on 8 December 1776 of Cape Henlopen, Delaware by HMS Orpheus (Charles Hudson commanding) and HMS Daphne (St John Chinnery commanding), and brought into New York.
