Capture history: an American privateer (ship, 280 tons, 20 guns, 106 men) bound from Beverly, Massachusetts on a cruise; taken on 4 or 5 October 1782 off Cape Ann, Massachusetts by HMS Enterprise (John Payne commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: a cruise from the United States.
