Capture history: an American privateer (schooner, 50 tons, 8 guns, 45 men) bound on a cruise; taken on 9 September 1779 about 50 miles south of Sandy Hook, New Jersey by HMS Daphne (St John Chinnery commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: a cruise from the United States.
