Captured ship: Mary of Milford (master John Morgans).
History: a British merchant ship (sloop, 60 tons), bound from Milford [Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire] to Dover laden with Welsh coal; taken by the French privateer May Flower (Patrick Dowling commanding) on 13 June 1780 two leagues from Beachy Head, retaken on the same day by HMS Arrogant (John Cleland commanding), and brought into Dover.
