Captured ship: St Martin of Honfleur (master Jacques Durand).
History: a French fishing boat (100 tons, 1 gun unfit for service, 18 men), bound from Newfoundland to Honfleur, laden with cod, train oil; taken on 4 October 1778 by the privateer Eagle (Philip Dean commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Court papers: 1-3; Ship's papers: 4-14. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
