Captured ship: Marthe Frédèric (master François Pierre Legal), and two other fishing vesssels, Catherine and Le St Pierre (masters unknown)).
History: a French fishing boat (20 tons, 24 men), bound from Dieppe on a fishing trip, laden with herring; taken on 17 November 1780 about 8 leagues south of Dungeness, Kent by the privateer Revenge (Isaac Hubbard commanding), and brought into Dover.
Court papers: 1-4; Ship's papers: 5-7. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
