Description

High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: De Jonge Maria (master Cornelis Smaal).

History: a Dutch fishing vessel (dogger, 30 Dutch lasts, 12 men), bound from Vlaardingen to the Dogger Bank to fish; taken on 14 January 1781 about 9 miles from the Texel by the privateer Dolphin (Jacob Whaley commanding), and brought into Kingston upon Hull.

Court papers: 1-2. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
