Captured ship: De Jonge Juffrouwer Anna of Amsterdam (master Hendrick Pietersen).
History: a Dutch merchant ship (brigantine, 41 lasts, 10 men), bound from St Eustatius to Amsterdam., laden with sugar, coffee, tobacco, cocoa, indigo, ox hides, deer skins; taken on 31 August 1778 in latitude 23°08'N, longitude 314°07'E of the Pike of Tenerife by the privateer Rebecca (James Braithwaite commanding), and brought first into Waterford, and then into Whitehaven.
