Captured ship: Harlequin (commander Joseph Hurd).
Capture history: an American privateer (sloop, 60 tons, 10 guns) bound on a cruise; taken on 18 September 1779 in latitude 37°40'N, longitude 74°30'W by HMS Delaware (Christopher Mason commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: a cruise from the United States.
