Captured ship: Friendship (master John Haughton).
History: an [English or American] merchant ship with a Spanish cargo (schooner, 4 guns, 5 men), laden with white sugar, brown sugar, coffee; taken or bought circa 1760 in Mounte Christo, [Montecristi, Santo Domingo] by HMS Hussar (Robert Carkett commanding) and HMS Boreas (Samuel Uvedale commanding), and brought into Jamaica.
This capture belongs to the Seven Years' War and may be an appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Jamaica.
