Captured ship: Le Frelon (master Nicolas Pierre Tross).
History: a French privateer with letter of marque (sloop, 60 tons, 12 guns, 84 men) bound from [Le Havre] on a cruise; taken on 14 March 1779 a few leagues from Le Havre by HMS Rattlesnake (William Knell commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
Court papers: 1-14; Ship's papers: 15-16. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
