Captured ship: Fox (master James Robison).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (25 or 30 tons, 11 men) bound from Port of Rappahannock, Fredericksburg, Virginia to Havana, Cuba, laden with flour; taken on 30 January 1782 off Cape Henry, Capes of Virginia by the loyalist privateer Jack o'the Lanthorn (George Bennison commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
