Captured ship: Fanny (master Absalom Kibble).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 30 or 50 tons, 2 guns, 11 men) bound from Portsmouth, Virginia to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco; taken on 12 July 1780 off Cape Henry, Virginia by HMS Richmond (Charles Hudson commanding) and HMS Camilla (John Collins commanding), and brought into New York.
