History: an American merchant ship (sloop, 35 tons), found trading in the rebellious colonies, laden with rum, molasses, osnaburghs [coarse linen]; taken on 14 November 1776 near Cape Henlopen, Delaware by HMS Orpheus (Charles Hudson commanding), HMS Daphne (St John Chinnery commanding), and brought into [New York ?].
