History: an American merchant ship (sloop, 35 tons, 6 men) bound from Ocracoke, North Carolina to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco; taken on 4 June 1778 near Ocracoke Bar by HMS Ariel (Charles Phipps commanding), and brought into New York.
