High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Le Saint Esprit (master Charles Button).
History: a French merchant ship (sloop, 35 tons, 6 men), bound from St Gilles to Brest, laden with wheat; taken on 10 or 11 March 1781 off Pinmour/Pinmar [?] on the French coast by the privateers Vulture, Sprightly (James Bett commanding) and Hero (James Bett commanding), and brought into St Michael's Mount.
Court papers: 1-20; Ship's papers: 21-24. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
