Captured ship: L'Escamoteur of Dunkirk (commander Thomas Roberts).
History: a French privateer (130 tons, 8 guns, 67 men), bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken on 26 September 1782 near the Dudgeon [shoal] on the Norfolk Coast. by HMS Fly sloop (Timothy Kelly commanding), and brought into Great Yarmouth.
Court papers: 1-4; Ship's papers: 5-9. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
