British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.
Captured ship: Endeavour (master Ambrose Bartlett).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 20 tons) bound from Philadelphia to the non-British West Indies, laden with pine, flour, biscuits and onions; taken on 20 July 1777, near Cape Henlopen by HMS Orpheus (Charles Hudson commanding), and brought into New York.
