Captured ship: Elizabeth (master Johan Rampi).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (brig, 150 tons, 4 guns, 10 men), bound from Elsinore [Helsingør] to Rochefort, laden with pitch, tar; taken on 6 October 1782 about 4 Dutch miles NNE of Cap La Hague by HMS Mediator (Hon James Luttrell commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
Court papers: 1-16; Ship's papers: 15-19. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
