Captured ship: Elizabeth (master Jan Guesdon).
History: a French merchant ship (350 tons, 4 guns, 22 men, 6 passengers), bound from Saint Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee, cotton; taken on 7 October 1778 in latitude 47°18'N by the privateer Triumph (Peter Agnew commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
Court papers: 1-10; Ship's papers: 11-38. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
