Captured ship: Eliza (master John Vicary).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 100 tons) bound from [the Delaware] to Havana, Cuba, laden with flour, etc; taken on 21 April 1782 off the Delaware River by HMS Pearl (George Montagu commanding), HMS Quebec (Christopher Mason commanding), HMS Belisarius (Richard Graves commanding), HMS Grana (Chichester Fortescue commanding), HMS Bonetta (John Coates commanding), and brought into New York.
