Captured ship: Eagle (master John FitzHenry).
History: a British merchant ship (100 tons, 2 guns) bound from St John's, Newfoundland to Cadiz, laden with cod fish, taken by the American privateer Bennington on 22 November 1778, retaken by the privateer Atalanta (James Collinson commanding), and brought into Lisbon on 21 December 1778..
Court papers: 1-4; Ship's papers: 5-32. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
