High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Le Diligent of Bordeaux (master Pierre Phillip).
History: a French merchant ship (snow, 90 tons, 12 men), bound from Bordeaux to Cayenne, laden with flour, wine, rum, butter for use of the garrison at Cayenne; taken on 15 September 1779 in latitude 36°N, longitude 19°W of London by the privateers Who's Afraid (Henry Moore commanding), and Eagle (Joseph Jenkins commanding), and brought into Liverpool.
Court papers: 1-5; Ship's papers: 6-18. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
