Captured ship: La Charmante Betsey (master Sieur Jean Goyetche).
History: a French ship (goelette or schooner, 30 tons, 2 guns, 10 men), bound from Camarinas, Spain to Martinique, laden with pilchards and jars of oil; taken on 15 March 1780 about 150 leagues westward of Cape Finisterre by the privateer Minerva (John Le Couteur commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Court papers: 1-5; Ship's papers: 6-7. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
