Captured ship: La Camille (master Jean Baptiste Lafergue).
History: a French merchant ship with a letter of marque (160 tons, 8 guns, 36 men), bound from Bayonne to Isle d'Aix to wait for a convoy bound for Saint Domingue, laden with wine, flour, iron and other merchandise; taken on 2 June 1780 in latitude 45°51' by the privateers Tartar (John Gibson commanding) and Porcupine (John Walker commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
Court papers: 1-28; Ship's papers: 29-63. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
