High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: La Cadette (master Jean Baptiste Renis).
History: a French merchant ship with letter of marque (110 tons, 10 guns, 24 men), bound from Bayonne to Cap Francois, Saint Domingue, laden with flour, candles, wine and other articles; taken on 29 September 1778 in latitude 44°30'N by the privateer Swift (Hilary Gosselin commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
Court papers: 1-16; Ship's papers: 17-32. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
