Captured ship: Brita Cecilia (master Samuel Jacobson).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (120 tons, 8 men), bound from Elsinore to Brest or Nantes, laden with iron, tar, pitch, deals; taken on 16 September 1778 in latitude 49°50'N by the privateer Diligence (George Grout commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
Court papers: 1-10; Ship's papers: 11-13. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
