High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Le Bon Chretien (master Guillaume Laumorne).
History: a French merchant ship (snow, 130 tons, 19 men), bound from the Grand Banks of Newfoundland to Honfleur, laden with fish; taken on 20 September 1778 in latitude 49°N a hundred leagues west of Honfleur by the privateer Lady Granby (Samuel Rogers commanding), and brought into Liverpool.
Court papers: 1-30; Ship's papers: 31-33. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
